What evidence to submit

The stronger your evidence, the faster and more accurately your claim can be reviewed. Here's what to include.

Why evidence matters

Our claims team reviews every submission carefully, but they work from the information you provide. Clear evidence helps them understand what happened, assess the situation accurately, and reach a resolution more quickly.

Photos

Photos are the most important evidence in most claims. Submit photos that show:

Written description

A clear, factual description of what happened goes a long way. Describe the sequence of events, when you first noticed the issue, and what you believe caused it. Avoid guessing at intent — focus on what you observed.

What you don't need

You don't need a police report, legal documentation, or third-party appraisals to open a claim. Those may be relevant in certain situations, but they're not required to get started.
