Requirements to Sign Up as a Mover (Driver/Lead)

To join Muvr as a Mover Driver/Lead, you must meet specific requirements, including supplying a qualifying vehicle and equipment. This role comes with higher pay and leadership responsibilities.

• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

• Physical Fitness: Demonstrate the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 lbs. (or more) while walking, climbing stairs, and balancing.

• Experience:

  • Prior moving experience is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Movers with 3+ years of experience may need to upload photos or testimonials of previous jobs (e.g., before and after furniture wrapping).

• Leadership Skills: Ability to coordinate with helpers and manage the transportation of items.

1. Driver’s License

   • Must be valid and not expired.

   • Upload clear photos of the front and back.

2. Profile Photo

   • A clear, professional headshot that follows these guidelines:

     • Face the camera directly with no hats or sunglasses.

     • Use a well-lit background free of glare.

3. Vehicle Registration

   • Must match the details of your registered moving vehicle.

4. Vehicle Insurance

   • Active insurance that covers your vehicle.

5. Certificate of Insurance (COI) (if applicable)

   • Proof of General Liability & Commercial Auto Insurance.

   • Coverage amount: At least $1,000,000.

   • Muvr Technologies, Inc. must be listed as a certificate holder.

6. Vehicle and Equipment Photos

   • Upload clear photos showing:

   • Your vehicle’s exterior and interior cargo space.

   • Required equipment (e.g., dollies, straps, blankets) organized in one photo.

7. Lifting Video

   • Submit a video demonstrating your ability to lift and carry heavy items (100 lbs. or more).

   • This video is required for insurance purposes and should showcase proper lifting techniques.

   • You may lift a sofa with a partner or carry 100 lbs. of weights at a gym or sporting goods store.

   • Don’t forget to introduce yourself briefly in the video.

• Approved Types:

  • Pickup Trucks: Bed lengths of 6ft, 7ft, or 8ft, with high weight capacities.

  • Cargo Vans: Interior cargo length of 8ft-12ft and height of 5ft-6ft.

  • Sprinter Vans: Interior cargo length of 10ft-14ft and height of 6ft-7ft.

  • Box Trucks: Interior cargo length of 12ft-26ft and height of 6ft-9ft.

• Condition:

  • Vehicles must be clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.

  • Adequate cargo space to safely transport customer items.

• 4-Wheel Dolly.

• Hand Truck.

• Lifting Straps.

• Furniture Blankets.

• Plastic Stretch Wrap.

• Assembly/Disassembly Kit (Screwdrivers, Drill, Hex Keys).

• Furniture Sliders.

• Floor Mats.

• Appliance Dolly.

• Tarp/Cover.

• Mattress Bags.

• Consent to a background check conducted by Muvr’s partner, which typically takes 1-3 business days.

• A clean record is required to ensure safety and reliability.

• Complete onboarding training through the Muvr Driver App, which includes:

  • Safe lifting techniques.

  • Wrapping and securing items.

  • Customer service best practices.

• Drivers/Leads are responsible for coordinating with helpers and ensuring the quality of service.

• Maintaining professionalism and adhering to safety protocols is essential for high ratings and repeat opportunities.

Make sure you meet all the above requirements and submit the necessary documentation. Once approved, complete the training, and you’ll be ready to start moving with Muvr!
